A Fundação Casa Grande – Memorial do Homem Kariri passa a ser referência nacional em Educação Patrimonial, dentro das políticas públicas desenvolvidas pelo IPHAN/ Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional, do Ministério da Cultura. Hoje, em Nova Olinda, a entidade recebe técnicos do Instituto, no intuito de conhecerem “in loco” todo o projeto, como foi concebido e as diretrizes de trabalho da instituição. Eles permanecerão até o domingo realizando estudos na Fundação, criada há 16 anos.
“O trabalho da Fundação Casa Grande foi considerado, pela equipe de gerência de Educação Patrimonial IPHAN, como um exemplo dos mais representativos de um trabalho educativo, no qual a valorização e a preservação do Patrimônio Cultural é a base para inclusão da cidadania, objeto fundamental das ações educativas levadas a efeito pelo IPHAN”, diz o gerente de Projetos e Educação Patrimonial, João Tadeu Gonçalves, em carta enviada ao presidente da Fundação, Alemberg Quindins. Ele estará na equipe que virá desenvolver trabalho de pesquisa na Fundação.
O IPHAN tem buscado, por meio da Coordenação Geral de Promoção, identificar as boas práticas no desenvolvimento de ações educativas, no intuito de balizar a proposta de uma política nacional no âmbito da instituição para a área de Educação Patrimonial. Em consequência desse trabalho, objetiva-se criar a Casa do Patrimônio, nos Estados do Brasil, com a finalidade não só de levar o sentido de fiscalizar, mas realizar um trabalho de conscientização social para a preservação do patrimônio.E é na Fundação que os técnicos encontrarão, na prática, toda uma desenvoltura de crianças e adolescentes, educados dentro de um processo de preservação da memória local, do patrimônio material e imaterial.
