Langkawi, the first Geopark in Malaysia is looking forward to hosting the next 4th International Geopark Conference in June 2010 after beating two other countries to the job.
Langkawi Development Authority general manager Datuk Kamarulzaman Abdul Ghani, conveyed the news from Osnabruck, Germany, these days."Langkawi Geopark has won the bid against Araripe Geopark in Brazil and Lesvos Petrified Forest Geopark in Greece," Kamarulzaman said.
